Chipton-Ross, Inc. is seeking a full-time hybrid System Network Administrator. This role is primarily based in Long Beach, CA, with flexibility for some remote work. The System Network Administrator will oversee day-to-day network and system administration, technical support, network security, and troubleshooting.

- Serve as the primary contact for system and user support issues.
- Provide helpdesk support and escalate issues as needed.
- Configure routers, firewalls, switches, VOIP phones, fax servers, printers, and other network appliances.
- Build, deploy, and support desktop computers and servers in a Windows environment.
- Support and troubleshoot desktop PCs, notebooks, servers, and standard desktop applications.
- Perform daily system monitoring to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage daily backup operations and regularly test backups.
- Apply OS, firmware, and appliance patches and upgrades as necessary.
- Manage firewall, anti-spam, and anti-virus applications.
- Write memos and instructions for users, and create, maintain, and update network diagrams.
- Assist with network cabling, premise wiring, and troubleshooting network problems.
- Support IT staff with projects and tasks as needed.
- Perform basic data center and office administration tasks.
- 2 years of system administration experience.
- 2 years of experience with Windows 10, Windows Server, Windows Active Directory, DNS, and Hyper-V.
- 2 years of networking experience (configuring, administering, maintaining, troubleshooting).
- Proficiency in administering servers, networks, and security.
- Help desk/desktop support, PC build, and troubleshooting experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and standard Windows applications.
- Hands-on experience with configuring, deploying, and maintaining networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi, VPNs).
- Experience with backup, antivirus, and antispam software.
- Basic understanding of network concepts, including TCP/IP and Ethernet protocols.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Exchange.
- Willingness to learn and explore new ideas and concepts.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 45 lbs.
- Availability to work any shift and be on call as required.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange.
- Knowledge of T-SQL and the ability to run reports and analyze data.
- Web server maintenance and configuration (websites, certificates, DNS).
- Accredited Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or other related field or relevant work experience.
