We’re seeking a driven individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, adapts to shifting business needs, and is ready to take ownership of key processes. This role oversees port and yard operations, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and seamless data integrity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervision: Lead gate and yard personnel to maintain accurate equipment inventory, real-time system visibility, and effective intermodal equipment inspections.
- Operations Management: Oversee fruit inventory, dispatch activities, and operational planning for weekly vessel port calls.
- Reporting: Provide detailed reports to validate stevedore and port invoices.
- Coordination: Collaborate with GWF and Transportation teams to ensure timely delivery of Southbound cargo and manage Northbound equipment dispatch.
- Process Oversight: Supervise and refine operational processes, ensuring cross-functional knowledge and adaptability across the team.
- Training: Cross-train staff in operational processes and systems to foster resilience and expertise.
- Compliance: Complete Wharfage and Royalties reports accurately and on time.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree (preferred).
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years in port and/or yard operations.
- 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Intermodal environment experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply information system applications.

- Strong leadership skills with a proactive, goal-driven mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Team-oriented with a focus on collaboration and results.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
- Office-based work combined with exposure to yard environments and heavy equipment.
- Hands-on training with reefer container connections and occasional execution of operational tasks.
- Physical activity may include walking, bending, lifting, and reaching as required by the role.
