POSITION DESCRIPTION :
The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee all aspects of CHIRLA’s accounting functions. The Director will be responsible for planning, budgeting, directing ledger accounts, financial statements, and cost control systems. The ideal candidate will manage the financial compliance of both 501 c3 and 501 c4 organizations transactions. This position requires a bachelor’s degree with a CPA accreditation with at least five years of experience in the non-profit sector. The Director of Finance must understand financial programs to obtain information related to grant compliance and reporting.
The Director of Finance reports directly to the Managing Director, this position is part of management and collaborates closely with the management team. The Director of Finance is responsible for directing, coordinating, maintaining, and controlling an accounting system that accurately reflects the financial position of the organization. This role oversees financial operations, ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and provides strategic financial guidance. The Director of Finance is a key member of the senior management team, contributing to the development and implementation of organizational goals and objectives.

Salary & Benefits : $124,387 to $134,537

FLSA Classification : Exempt / Salary, full-time, regular
Classification : CHIRLA recognizes a staff bargaining unit affiliated with AFSCME Local 4501.
This position is part of management and is not covered under the terms of the collective
bargaining agreement.
