The Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a medical facility. This position involves managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a customer-focused attitude, contributing to a positive experience for patients and staff alike.

*Duties*

- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures.

- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of time slots.

- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary.

- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.

- Process patient intake forms and verify insurance information.

- Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with insurance companies as needed.

- Ensure the reception area is organized, welcoming, and compliant with health regulations.

*Skills*

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other office software.

- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks efficiently.

- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.

- Customer service experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.

- Basic knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

This role is essential for providing high-quality service within the medical environment while supporting the overall mission of the healthcare facility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
