Job Description: Chisago County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified professionals to join our rapidly growing Office. The Sheriff’s Office consists of 50 sworn officers providing exceptional services to a rapidly growing community of over 57,000 residents. Our Deputies perform intermediate work patrolling county roads observing for law violations, enforcing laws and ordinances, responding to calls for service, and completing required paperwork and reports. Include copy of POST license or POST eligibility letter with application.
Lateral Transfers:
- Signing bonus of $7,500
- Front-loaded sick time (120 hours)
- Condensed Field Training Program
- Prior law enforcement experience considered for promotional and specialty opportunities.
- Must have at least one year experience as a sworn officer and have MN POST licensing in good standing or are eligible for POST.
- Starting wage negotiable
Entry Level:

Performs intermediate work patrolling county roads observing for law violations, enforcing laws and ordinances, responding to calls for service, completing required paperwork and reports, and related work. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Sheriff.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be Minnesota POST licensed or eligible to be licensed
• Moderate experience as a full time sworn peace officer
• Valid driver’s license in the State of Minnesota.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
A current MN Post Peace Officers License or MN POST letter of eligibility.
Must pass the required testing that is tentatively scheduled for at the Chisago County Public Safety Center. Applicants will be contacted with testing times.
