Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Masters of Social Work (MSW) (or closely related degree).
- Must have a Kentucky license. LCSW preferred.
- Two years’ experience in behavioral health or the educational field.
- Knowledge and experience in providing individual and family therapy utilizing evidence-based treatment models.
- Demonstrates ability to work as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Must have a current driver’s license and insurance.
- Demonstrate proven sensitivity to the various cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of Children’s Home clients and staff, including a commitment to use of the Sanctuary Model and to the philosophy of All Children, All Families framework of cultural competencies.
Position Summary:
The PRN On-Call Licensed Practitioner provides critical support following the use of emergency physical interventions in an inpatient residential setting. The licensed practitioner will be responsible for conducting debriefing sessions with associates involved in the intervention and performing an in-person, face-to-face assessment of the client. They will also be responsible for ensuring all required documentation is completed in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
This is a PRN on-call position, meaning availability during non-standard hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends, is required. The hours typically for weekdays are 5p-9a and weekends 9a to 9a. The practitioner will be expected to respond to emergency physical interventions, within an hour upon notification.
Essential Job Functions
- Respond to emergency physical interventions when called in for debriefing and assessment.
- Arrive promptly on-site after notification to conduct debriefs and assessments.
- Facilitate personal debriefing sessions with associates directly involved in the physical intervention.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to associates, focusing on processing the incident and discussing potential improvements in future responses.
- Conduct an in-person, face-to-face assessment of the client involved in the physical intervention.
- Evaluate the client’s physical and emotional well-being post-intervention.
- Develop recommendations for ongoing care or additional interventions, if needed
- Accurately complete all required documentation related to the physical intervention, debriefing, and client assessment in the EHR system.
- Ensure timely submission of reports following the intervention.
- Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to physical interventions and client care.
- Stay informed of best practices and ensure that debriefing and assessments are conducted following trauma-informed care principles.
- Be trained in JKM SCM ESPI Training
- Be trained and knowledgeable with the EHR systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, kneel, squat, and hold objects or carry.
