About this Internship
This is a 9-week on-site full-time internship (40 hours/week) that offers a paid opportunity to work with our Safety, Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct safety inspections and assessments of equipment and systems.
- Lead risk assessments by evaluating operator tasks and identifying opportunities to mitigate job hazards.
- Monitor industrial hygiene and perform chemical inventory audits.
- Analyze data to assist in the execution of safety improvement initiatives.
- Report findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Develop training methods related to occupational safety measures.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in occupational safety, engineering, chemistry, environmental sciences, or a related field.
- Ability to read technical specifications and drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to complete deliverables within established timeframes.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
