Job Summary
The Direct Service Professional provides support to children and young adults with special needs. This position is comprised of three functional roles: Inclusion Facilitator, Personal Care Assistant and Respite Worker. Responsibilities of each role may be performed individually or simultaneously based on the needs of each client’s situation.
A General Overview Of Each Functional Area Includes:
Inclusion Facilitator supports children and young adults with special needs in typical childcare centers, this position promotes inclusion and success by fostering the independence of the child within the childcare environment.
Personal Care Assistants provide support to adults with disabilities in a variety of community-based services. These adults may be attending college classes, working at various job sites, grocery shopping, preparing meals, and more. This role provides the support needed to adults with disabilities to perform tasks that they would normally perform if there were no disability.
Respite Worker provide experienced care, which give much-needed relief to families. While families take a break, they can feel at ease with support from this specialist who provides age-specific enrichment and daily life activities. The Respite Worker works closely with individuals and their loved ones to problem-solve and guide them on their paths to safety, success, wellness, and fulfillment.
Pay Range
Minimum $18.99 Midpoint $25.14 Maximum $31.32
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

- Must successfully pass DOJ background check.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation.
- Complete/provide proof of negative tuberculosis test result; maintain clearance every year.

Communication skills including strong inter-personal skills, and ability to speak, read and write effectively in the English language. Excellent customer service skills. - Be eligible for acceptance by our company commercial auto policy based upon DMV report with annual review thereafter.
- This position requires local travel. Must provide proof of valid CA driver’s license and automobile insurance upon hire & at expiration thereafter.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese is preferred.

- High School Diploma or GED

- Complete & maintain Infant/Child/Adult CPR & First Aid training or provide proof of certification.
