Job Summary

Sanitation workers take responsibility for the cleanliness of the warehouse and production floor according to Company guidelines.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

General Accountabilities

• Use power equipment such as      floor sweepers, vacuums, scrubbers, mops, power washers.
• Maintain cleanliness of general      facility and food production areas according to OSHA, CDS Sanitation      Procedures and FDA regulations using industrial cleaning chemicals as      required to meet Environmental Monitoring targets.
• Dispose of garbage regularly      throughout the facility.
• Comply with all health and      safety procedures and policies.
• Operate hand tools such brooms      and shovels.
• Wash all hand tools and      utensils for later use.
• Work closely with Quality      Leadership Team to ensure SQF compliance.
• Maintain a working knowledge of      equipment, including proper LOTO procedure for machinery.
• Disassemble machines, sanitize,      foam rinse and reassemble production lines for use.
• Train in the safe use of heavy      equipment including power pallet trucks and floor scrubbers.
• Plan and execute daily and      nightly cleaning activities.
• Assist in cleaning restrooms      including toilets, urinals, sinks, counters, mirrors, floors and walls.
• Maintain accurate sanitation      and housekeeping records in accordance with company policy and FDA/OSHA regulations.
• Wear appropriate eye-wear, and      protective clothing to perform duties of job.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required Skills

· Ability to effectively communicate with all staff members, comprehend and follow procedures, and complete forms in English.

· Maintain punctual attendance.

· Willingness to perform all assigned duties as directed by supervisor.

Preferred Skills

· Previous experience in sanitation in the food industry

· Attention to detail.

· Good math and written communication skills.

· Efficient time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.

· Must wear appropriate PPE.

· Required to stand for a long period of time, walk or sit.

· Regularly required use hands and arms.

· Required to communicate in English and possess basic math skills.

· May be exposed to outside weather conditions of wind, cold, rain and ice as well as climate controlled warehouse.
