We are seeking a highly skilled Military Career Counselor to join our team at Choctaw Advantage Solutions. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping Service Members transition successfully to civilian careers.
The Job Description
As a Military Career Counselor, you will:
- Provide individualized career counseling to Service Members to help them develop transition goals and strategies.
- Assist Service Members and their families in creating and refining their Individual Transition Plans (ITPs) and résumés for both federal and private sector opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops and briefings on DOL Employment and VA Benefits to ensure Service Members are aware of available services and eligibility requirements.
- Deliver comprehensive Transition Briefings to inform Soldiers of the available services and eligibility requirements for transition benefits.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in Training and Development, HR Management, Counseling, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in career counseling, education, or a related field.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of career counseling and transition services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in needs assessment and individual/small group training.
