SUMMARY: A Poker Dealer is responsible for handling games in the Poker Room, including Poker, 7 Card Stud, and others, as well as managing guests' cash transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED is preferred. One (1) year of experience as a Poker Dealer or completion of an acceptable Poker Dealer School is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deals Poker games in accordance with company policies and procedures; greets new players, provides information about the game, answers questions, and offers instructions as needed.
- Promotes positive relationships by calling servers, chip runners, and maintaining a clean area.
- Notifies supervisors of cash exchanges, counts coins and chips to be transferred.
- Collections rake at the end of each bet and upon completion of the game, dropping it into the table drop box; ensures accuracy of the rake count.
- Ensures the integrity of the game and provides an enjoyable experience for players.
- Familiarity with local jurisdiction gaming laws and regulations, as well as company internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Leads by setting a positive example for all associates.
- Maintains a consistent and regular attendance record.
