What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand and Marketing Manager position at Choices CCS?
The Brand and Engagement Manager is responsible for external community outreach, internal company engagement, and enhancing the employee experience. This role includes managing the company’s social network platforms, ensuring staff engagement, and fostering a positive organizational culture. The position is funded by the Lilly Endowment’s Strengthening Youth Programs in Indiana (SYPI) grant and is contingent upon continued funding and/or the organization’s fiscal ability to sustain its existence past the grant period ending September 2026. The Brand and Engagement Manager will regularly collaborate with leadership across all departments to align outreach initiatives with organizational goals and employee needs.
Organizational Management
- Ensures all employees in Indiana attend at least one renewal event within their first year of employment.
- Oversees the company’s social media content to engage employees and promote internal initiatives.
- Develops digital engagement strategies aligned with company values and messaging.
- Creates, edits, and publishes newsletters, blog posts, and internal communications.
- Monitors engagement metrics and adjusts strategies to optimize communication effectiveness.
- Collaborates with HR and ARE departments to track effectiveness, ensuring 85% of staff report improvement in one of the five well-being areas (emotional intelligence, career, social, financial, community, physical).
- Generates enthusiasm to ensure 95% of Choices staff demonstrate increased knowledge in best practices using "Phrases That Pay" and "Choices Pillars."
- Works with HR and the Employee Advisory Committee to achieve a 5% reduction in voluntary turnover during the grant’s lifespan.
- Coordinates with HR and Communications to increase candidates sourced via the company website by 10% by the end of the measurement period.
- Tracks and analyzes the effectiveness of initiatives, resulting in an annual company report.
- Collaborates with provider relations and program departments to expand social work topics in external media (conferences, webinars, publications, etc.).
- Responds to client surveys and external data from consumers and network providers.
- Implements program metrics, including pre- and post-program measurements to assess outcomes and effectiveness.
- Develops and guides employee workgroups to support initiatives and serves as liaison.
- Builds partnerships with universities and professional organizations.
- Measures and communicates progress to guide improvements and share success stories.
- Willingly completes other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Choices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 5-year work experience driving change, leading programs and working across multiple functions.
- 4 years of active experience and/or thought leadership in HR, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience effectively partnering with HR and business teams to build effective talent and reward programs and strategies.
- Excellent project management skills; Experience delivering projects for cross-functional audiences.
- Strong analytic skills and the ability to think strategically and programmatically.
- Ability to communicate complex information in an approachable manner.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) / interpersonal skills and the ability to work well across functions and navigate a complex subject matter.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage heavy workloads and multiple tasks.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with experience in content creation for internal audiences.
- Experience managing social media platforms and digital engagement strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement outreach programs that enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.
- Access to reliable transportation. If driving an automobile while on company business, must possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence and auto insurance.
Salary $60,000-70,000
