What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Composites Supervisor position at CHOMARAT North America?

The Advanced Composites Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing production personnel and operational processes within the business unit under the direction of the Product Manager. As advanced composites supervisor, you will accomplish department objectives by supervising staff while organizing and monitoring the work process. The advanced composites supervisor focuses on team development, customer satisfaction for quality & delivery, process stability, efficiency, optimization, and repeatability. In addition, as advanced composites supervisor, you will also be responsible for monitoring team member performance, ensuring appropriate training is delivered, and ensuring appropriate reinforcement steps are taken to address both positive and negative processes and team member performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Maintaining effective systems with key metrics to communicate expectations, monitor activities, and control: Safety, Internal & External Quality, Labor/Material/Overhead Costs, Process & Workforce Evolution, Maintenance & Housekeeping, and Inventory Management & Control
- Planning and organizing work to meet production requirements and schedule, as well as regular participation in the planning and logistics processes with the authority to recommend workforce adjustments to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained
- Recommending and managing improvement projects and associated costs to include machine modification, process changes, raw material changes, etc.
- Ensuring coordination of business objectives between the Product Manager and planning group in setting shop floor priorities
- Balancing and adjusting priorities based on changing conditions
- Following quality control procedures to ensure finished products meet or exceed customer expectations and all product specifications both internally and externally
- Developing and/or maintaining performance matrix to monitor, track and report key performance indicators while using the data to identify negative trends, communicating manufacturing concerns, and making timely corrective actions where performance dictates
- Effectively supervising and evaluating assigned personnel, communicating accountability and performance expectations, monitoring activities against expected results, and providing recognition or corrective feedback as warranted
- Ensuring staff are provided with proper training
- Providing technical leadership and support skill development within the team and performing other related duties as assigned
- Fostering a cooperative working environment conducive to maximizing employee morale and productivity
- Managing and executing CNA established employee evaluation programs for direct employees
- Maintaining an effective maintenance program to include preventative & predictive maintenance programs for critical equipment, as well as break down and major repair of all equipment
- Upholding company policies and procedures while supporting decisions made by senior leadership
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED INCLUDE:
- Strong mechanical understanding and experience with manufacturing equipment
- Excellent analytical and math skills
- Ability to read and interpret written information, including specification sheets and daily production records
- Intermediate or advanced software skills and experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Ability to track performance, report, and analyze data effectively and accurately
- Use of equipment and materials correctly without bypassing required steps
- Solid and proven interpersonal skills
- Ability to be receptive to feedback and respond well to questions or conversations with others while keeping others well informed, being helpful respectful, and team oriented

- Ability to lift moderate weights of up to 50 lbs.

- Ability to reach, twist, bend, push, pull, and stoop

- Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts, low-lifts, and cranes with good vision to operate machinery safely

- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel as needed between all three CNA locations in Anderson
AUTHORITIES INCLUDES:
- Supervising all direct employees for the Advanced Composites business unit
- Leading manufacturing processes by establishing operating parameters, troubleshooting equipment, and tracking machine and product performance
- Effectively communicating concerns and accomplishments to leadership
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED INCLUDES:
- Technical or Management college degree preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least three years of recent experience in manufacturing leadership and staff development in a related industry preferred
- Significant experience with Microsoft Excel preferred
- Experience with Dynamics AX desirable

Pay: $79,381.00 - $84,088.00 per year
