What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position at Chopard USA Ltd.?
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will provide financial and administrative support to the Finance and Accounting team. In addition, they will work closely with internal partners at Boutique and Service Center.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Posting and application of funds with high level of accuracy.
- Ongoing analysis of aging in addition to initiation of collections efforts as per company standards.
- Liaises with wholesale customers to reconcile, address any issues as well as ensure accuracy of aging.
- Prepares monthly bank reconciliations for several cost centers and related journal entries.
- Reconciliation of all company receivables accounts and related journal entries.
- Sales audit for the retail business

- Prepares and distributes in a timely manner all customer statements.
- Collaborate with overseas Chopard team members to handle intercompany issues in a timely manner.
- Weekly bank balance cash assessments and transfers as needed.
- Assists internal and external auditors with year-end prep on an as needed basis.
- Participates in monthly and quarterly closing initiatives to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Maintains high level of accuracy regarding internal controls and processes to ensure integrity and compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting standards.
- Participates in ad-hoc projects on an as needed basis within accounting and finance organization.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field OR a combination of education (minimum of High School diploma) and 5 years work experience in AR role(s).
- Excellent useof Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets
- Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality
- Good math skills and high level of attention to detail
- Familiarity with corporate finance principles and procedures
- Familiarity of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S.)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently under tight deadlines
- Desire to continue to grow through continuing training
- Fluent in English with strong and clear communication skills. Spanish and/or French a plus
- Working knowledge of Oracle/SAP and Chrome River a plus
