Job Summary
This role involves coordinating and performing optimization of manufacturing processes to enhance output, while collaborating with the Engineering team to develop process instructions and troubleshooting equipment/tooling obstacles.
Responsibilities
- Optimize manufacturing processes related to machinery, molds, and tooling to enhance output and meet production timelines.
- Develop process instructions for cell groups, ensuring they meet equipment and tooling standards, with the Engineering team.
- Identify and implement best practice solutions to equipment/tooling obstacles with Maintenance and Product Managers.
- Review machine operation and plant layout regularly to identify opportunities for improvement, working with Maintenance and Engineering departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement projects and new product development processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering Technology, Plastics Manufacturing, or similar field with concentration in plastics processing preferred.
- 0-3 years of experience/understanding in plastics processing within an injection molding manufacturing environment preferred.
- Solid planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills, as well as math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office experience required; familiarity with ERP Systems, 6S, and Lean Manufacturing preferred.
