At Chore-Time, our core purpose is to Help Feed a Hungry World through innovative solutions. As the Plastics Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in optimizing and enhancing manufacturing processes and layouts/expansions to drive efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform optimization of manufacturing processes related to machinery, molds, and tooling to enhance output while meeting production timelines.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop process instructions for cell groups, ensuring they meet equipment and tooling standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment/tooling obstacles and implement best practice solutions with Maintenance and Product Managers to maximize output and minimize downtime.
- Review machine operation and plant layout regularly to identify opportunities for improvement, working closely with Maintenance and Engineering departments.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement projects and new product development processes that meet cost and delivery requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering Technology, Plastics Manufacturing, or similar field with concentration in plastics processing preferred.
- 0-3 years of experience/understanding in plastics processing within an injection molding manufacturing environment preferred.
- Solid planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills, as well as math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office experience required; familiarity with ERP Systems, 6S, and Lean Manufacturing preferred.
- Solid business writing and communication skills, with ability to present to others.
