We are seeking an Upholstery Tacker to become a part of our team. We build the finest boats in the industry that are known around the world. We offer competitive pay and benefits as well as a great culture!
The Upholstery Tacker will perform all aspects of tacking associated with building production parts.
Responsibilities:
- Able to read and understand work instructions
- Able to meet production deadlines and stay on task
- Use and maintain all tools including heat gun, foam knife, staple gun, glue pot, band saw, etc.
- Learn all boat part names
- Learn how to read travelers
- Learn colors of vinyl and threads
- Learn how to foam boat parts
- Learn basic tacking on simple parts
- Understand ¼” compression and pull tab measurements
- Understand line up with touching upholstery parts, know which way to turn seams
- Learn how to build all parts except Sunpads, engine hatch and dive door hatches and pompanettes
- Learn how to repair tacking errors found by QC
- Willingness to cross-train and learn other areas with a good attitude
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Manual dexterity
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- Attention to details, deadline oriented and organized
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attendance and good attitude needed
Physical Requirements: Including, but not limited to:
- climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs. stretching, squatting and bending.
- May work on knees, seated, laying down, standing up.
