Part-Time Bookkeeper – Liquor Retail Store
Location: Chris Gasbarro's Fine Wine & Spirits
Starting Pay: $18 per hour
Hours: 10-15 hours per week
Chris Gasbarro's Fine Wine & Spirits is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to help manage financial transactions and maintain accurate records. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile daily sales, cash, and credit transactions.
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Process invoices, vendor payments, and employee payroll.
- Monitor and track liquor inventory costs and vendor pricing.
- Reconcile bank and merchant account statements.
- Prepare financial reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including sales and excise tax filings.
- Assist with budgeting and expense tracking.
- Work with accountants during audits and tax season.
Requirements:
✔ Experience: Previous bookkeeping or accounting .
✔ Software Proficiency: Familiarity with QuickBooks software.
✔ Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and organizational skills.
✔ Retail Knowledge: Understanding of POS systems, cash handling, and sales tax reporting is a plus.
✔ Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive financial information securely.
✔ Education: Degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
