LIFT Center Coordinator
PURPOSE: To support the ministries of the Christ Church LIFT Center, a centralized hub for local need-meeting ministries. To engage the people of Christ Church to serve locally, and to move from transactional to transformational relationships. To help LIFT clients on their path towards flourishing.
POSITION FOCUS: The LIFT Center Coordinator will play a key role in the daily operation of the LIFT Center, serving as liaison to ministry leaders and clients served.
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to: Executive Director of LIFT Center
Partners With: Senior Director of Missional Living, Domestic Missions Coordinator, LIFT Center Community Engagement Coordinator, Butterfield Campus Coordinator, Butterfield Campus Pastor
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
LIFT CENTER MINISTRY LIAISON
- Serves as the first point of contact for the ministries taking place at the LIFT Center.
- To include (but not limited to): LIFT Market, Gospel Justice Center, English Conversation Café, Sandwiches for DuPage PADS, Christians Against Poverty, Client Care and Resourcing.
- Works with lay leaders of each ministry to assess and meet the needs of the ministry.
- Encourages volunteers who serve at the LIFT Center.
- Welcomes clients that come to the LIFT Center.
- Cultivates relationships with volunteers and clients, helping them discover their giftings and activating them to live into their God-given potential.
LIFT CENTER DAILY OPERATION
- Works with the Executive Director and lay leaders on the daily operation of the LIFT Center.
- Helps create a hospitable culture for volunteers and clients.
- Implements workflows to ensure smooth operations.
- Assists with programming creation and implementation.
- Helps to ensure that volunteers are “put to work” and not standing around.
- Supports at least one shift of the LIFT Center each week, including one Saturday a month.
LIFT MARKET
- Assists with client scheduling and follow-up
- Works with the inventory team to ensure that market is supplied with food.
- Troubleshoots as needed.

CARE & RESOURCING
- Helps to respond to clients in need, including referring for services and holding boundaries.

ADMINISTRATION
- Submits expenses and reimbursements for the LIFT Center
- Assists with supply ordering
- Works with Butterfield campus coordinator to reserve space in the building.
- Leads meetings when needed.
- Serves as primary LIFT Center staff contact in the Executive Director’s absence.
TEAM MEMBER
- A vital part of the LIFT Center team.
- Supports all programming and events of the LIFT Center.
- Collaborates with the Executive Director, Community Engagement Coordinator, and key lay leaders on what is working well and not working.
- Cross-trains with the Community Engagement Coordinator and Executive Director to assist in responsibilities as needed.
- Assists with volunteer training and appreciation.
Spiritual Development
- Support and model individual spiritual formation, i.e., Worship, Grow and Serve. (Weekly worship, prayer, scripture reading, small group, volunteering/service, etc.).
