Position Summary
As a member of the production team, the RMA Technician (Return Material Authorization) pays a critical part of the manufacturing process by using his or her knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics to accurately diagnose issues with firearms and competently repair, alter, and/or replace any problem parts.
Responsibilities
- Understanding and capability of manual machining on both a mill and a lathe.
- Ability to shoot groups consistently and precisely and maintain the ability to shoot ½ MOA groups with a high round count.
- Ability to track and report problems via Excel and company software.
- The ability to clearly and concisely communicate with production teams and customer service reps what problems are or are not present and what steps will be necessary to correct them.
- Process all data related to customer and consumer feedback on Christensen Arms’ personnel, products, and services to enable the company to improve management, product, and service offerings.
- Work with the Quality Assurance (QA) department to provide data and reports necessary to support product and service controls and improvements.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives by providing suggestions, making process changes, and documenting.
- Assembling and disassembling firearms from our product line.
Knowledge, Skills & Requirements
- High school graduates or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a gun smith (required)
- Skill and experience with hand tools (files, grinders, etc.)
- Attention to detail.
- Problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of proper fit and function of Remington 700/Remington 700 type Action.
- Knowledge of proper fit and function of AR-15/AR-10 Action and Receiver.
- Knowledge of proper fit and function of 1911 Pistol.
- Understanding of headspace.
- Skill and experience using calipers and bore scopes.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) to process information, reports, etc. preferred not required.
- Basic knowledge of proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation to write reports and record information.
- Willing to learn Christensen Arms standard operating procedures to ensure work tasks are carried out according to proper protocols.

- Shooting equipment is maintained and cared for to ensure long-lasting service.
