Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gunsmith/Product Improvement Technician to join our team at Fierce Firearms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firearms technology, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for improving firearm performance and safety. As a Gunsmith/Product Improvement Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, modification, and improvement of firearms to ensure optimal functionality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Firearm Maintenance and Repair:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on various firearms.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to ensure firearms meet safety and performance standards.
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble firearms as needed.
  • Product Improvement:
  • Identify areas for improvement in firearm design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to implement enhancements.
  • Test and evaluate new components and modifications to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Custom Work:
  • Customize firearms to meet specific customer requirements or preferences.
  • Fabricate and fit custom parts, such as barrels, stocks, triggers, and sights.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, modifications, and improvements.
  • Provide reports and feedback to management regarding product performance and improvement suggestions.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all work complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Gunsmith or in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of firearm mechanics and ballistics.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for firearm repair and modification.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy firearms and equipment.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise work.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
