Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gunsmith/Product Improvement Technician to join our team at Fierce Firearms. As a Gunsmith/Product Improvement Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, modification, and improvement of firearms to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Firearm Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on various firearms.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to ensure firearms meet safety and performance standards.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble firearms as needed.
- Product Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in firearm design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to implement enhancements.
- Test and evaluate new components and modifications to ensure they meet company standards.
- Custom Work:
- Customize firearms to meet specific customer requirements or preferences.
- Fabricate and fit custom parts, such as barrels, stocks, triggers, and sights.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, modifications, and improvements.
- Provide reports and feedback to management regarding product performance and improvement suggestions.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all work complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Gunsmith or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of firearm mechanics and ballistics.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for firearm repair and modification.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy firearms and equipment.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
