Description:
The Summer Camp Counselor is an essential member of the Christian Academy of Knoxville's summer camp team. This role involves providing a Christ-centered, engaging, and safe experience for campers. Counselors will lead activities, foster spiritual and personal growth, and serve as positive role models for children and youth.
Requirements:- Lead campers in a variety of activities, including games, crafts, devotionals, and team-building exercises.
- Foster a fun, inclusive, and encouraging environment that aligns with Christian values.
- Build relationships with campers to support their spiritual, social, and personal development.
- Incorporate biblical principles and teachings into daily activities and discussions.
- Serve as a spiritual mentor and role model for campers.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by monitoring activities and enforcing camp rules.
- Respond to behavioral challenges with patience and understanding, promoting conflict resolution.
- Follow emergency procedures.
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and maintenance of camp facilities and materials.
- Support the Camp Team Lead in organizing and implementing activities.
- Participate actively in staff training and meetings.
- Work closely with fellow counselors to ensure a cohesive and effective program.
- Communicate openly with staff about camper needs, challenges, or concerns.
- Exhibit a servant-hearted attitude toward campers, staff, and families.
- A love for the Lord, support the mission of CAK and possess a sincere desire to serve all those associated with CAK.
