SCOPE
The Campus Facilities Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of campus facilities, ensuring all buildings and grounds are maintained, safe, and functional. They handle facility operations, maintenance schedules, safety compliance, cost control and efficiencies, and the appearance of the campus. The goal is to create an environment that supports effective learning and work for students and staff. This includes overseeing cleaning and sanitation, managing repair needs, coordinating staff, and ensuring energy efficiency and sustainability where possible. The role requires a balance of technical knowledge, leadership, and strategic planning to maintain a high-quality campus environment.
Qualifications
The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:
- A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
- A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
- Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith for the Christian Academy School System
- Agreement and belief that The Bible is the final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind
The ideal candidate shall possess:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or five years of comparable work experience in facilities management, engineering, operations management or related field
- Certifications in professional trades/skills
- Demonstrated strong project management, forward/proactive thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Experience in organizing and leading projects and working with contractors and subcontractors
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, assign, schedule and manage the facility and grounds maintenance staff and operations
- Assure buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment are properly maintained
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules and programs for campus buildings and grounds
- Inspect school buildings and grounds to ensure that proper safety, air quality, cleaning, and sanitation standards are met and maintained
- Arrange for necessary repair work of vendors and ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Consult with campus Administrators in planning maintenance and cleaning of school facilities
- Maintain records of work requests, and supplies, track costs for budgeting and managing expenses
- Oversee maintenance of parts, supplies, and equipment
- Monitor, control, and optimize energy consumption to conserve use and decrease energy costs for the school
- Develop and manage facilities operating budget for the campus
- Develop and recommend a 3-year capital plan for the campus
- Coordinate use of school facilities, including the support of indoor and outdoor events
- Assure all facility-related safety requirements are established and followed
- Ongoing analysis of systems and procedures
- Serve as campus project manager for all assigned capital, restoration, expansion or construction projects
- Respond to facilities-related emergency calls including during off-duty hours
- Support emergency preparedness, including drills, safety protocols, and crisis management
- Maintain a file of blueprints and site plans for the campus
- Regular reporting to school leadership on facility status and operations

The Campus Facilities Manager is responsible to the Head of Operations and Finance of the Christian Academy School System with a dotted line to the campus principals and athletic director.
