The Director of Events is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and evaluation of a wide range of events that support the mission and fundraising goals of Christian Brothers College High School (CBC). This role requires a highly organized and creative individual with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed event timelines, budgets, and logistics plans. Secure event venues, vendors, and necessary resources. Recruit, manage and oversee community volunteerism for specific events. Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown.
Event Planning and Execution
-Lead the planning and execution of a variety of events, including but not limited to: Annual Auction (December)
-Volunteer Appreciation Event (January)
-Golf Open Tournament (April)
-Spring Fashion Show (March)
-Grandparent's Mass (March)
-Freshman Mom Happy Hour (September)
Support Role:
-Alumni / Homecoming Weekend Events
-Alumni Christmas Cocktail Party
-Alumni and Donor Gatherings
-Graduation
-Miscellaneous School Events
Budget Management
Event Marketing:
Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing team to promote events through various channels (e.g., email, social media, website, print materials). Develop compelling marketing materials and promotional campaigns. Attract attendees and maximize event exposure and participation.
Reporting and Analysis:
Provide post-event analysis, including financial reports, event feedback surveys, and key performance indicators. Analyze event data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for future events.
Compliance:
Ensure that all events are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in event planning, hospitality, marketing, or a related field.
5 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably in a non-profit or educational setting.
Proven experience in budget management, team leadership, and vendor relations.
Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant event planning software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
