Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Engagement will play a pivotal role in attracting students to and building community partnerships for Christian Brothers University. This position is responsible for developing and implementing innovative recruitment strategies, fostering relationships with prospective students, and enhancing engagement initiatives that align with the university's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with the Director to design and execute comprehensive recruitment plans targeting diverse student populations.
- Analyze recruitment data to assess effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Identify and establish partnerships with local organizations.
- Build strong partnerships with assigned local high schools.
Engagement Initiatives:
- Work with the Director to create and implement programs that enhance prospective student engagement, including campus visits, open houses, and virtual events.
- Develop outreach initiatives to connect with high schools, community colleges, and local organizations.
- Counsel prospective students face-to-face, by phone, text, or email regarding their application status. Maintaining a strong commitment to interacting respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds is key.
- Process applications and update records to ensure accurate and proper student status within the University's systems. This is to include the Admissions CRM and Student Information Systems.
Marketing and Communication:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and digital content that reflect the university's identity and values. Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance social media and other platforms to engage with prospective students and
- success stories.
Collaboration and Team Leadership:
- Work closely with faculty, staff, and current students to ensure Undergraduate Admissions is well-connected with the larger campus community.
- Identify off-campus events and coordinate with CBU faculty for program-specific demonstrations and lectures.
- Mentor recruitment staff and student ambassadors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in higher education recruitment, admissions, or student engagement.
- Strong understanding of and commitment to the university's mission.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and recruitment software.
