Key Responsibilities
- Ministry Development & Church Partnerships:
- Build and strengthen relationships between U.S. churches and local churches in Jamaica or Belize, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with local pastors and church leaders to identify ministry needs and opportunities.
- Develop sustainable ministry programs that align with the vision and mission of both U.S. and in-country churches.
- Ensure that mission efforts support and uplift local ministries rather than create dependency.
- Community Engagement & Outreach:
- Support and participate in local outreach initiatives, such as evangelism, discipleship, education, and community development.
- Assist in implementing programs that address the spiritual and practical needs of the community.
- Encourage cultural exchange and mutual learning between mission teams and local churches.
- Leadership & Staff Oversight:
- Supervise and support local staff in either Jamaica or Belize, providing guidance, training, and spiritual encouragement.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration between in-country teams and U.S.-based leadership.
- Develop strategies to empower and equip local leaders in ministry and community outreach.
- Mission Team Coordination:
- Organize and facilitate short-term mission trips, ensuring alignment with CSI Ministries' goals and community needs.
- Coordinate logistics such as travel, accommodations, schedules, and team assignments.
- Provide orientation and training for mission teams, emphasizing cultural sensitivity, spiritual preparation, and effective service.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for mission teams before, during, and after the trips.
- Administrative & Financial Responsibilities:
- Manage mission budgets, fundraising efforts, and resource allocation for projects and trips.
- Maintain accurate records of mission activities, team reports, and ministry impact assessments.
- Communicate regularly with ministry partners, donors, and supporting churches, providing updates and testimonies.
- A deep commitment to Christian faith and mission work.
- Experience in ministry leadership, missions coordination, or cross-cultural work.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently between Jamaica, Belize, and the U.S.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability in diverse environments.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration.
- Prior missionary experience in the Caribbean or similar cross-cultural settings.
- Background in pastoral ministry, church leadership, or nonprofit missions work.
