The modern and tree-shaded 15-acre campus is centrally located and enjoys easy access to major freeways into Atlanta and Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The classical Christian curriculum is based upon a time-tested educational system which establishes a biblical worldview, incorporates methods based on natural phases of intellectual and spiritual development, cultivates the seven Christian virtues, trains students in reasoning through the Trivium (Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric), and engages student in “the great conversation” through the historical Great Books.
Cherokee Christian School is currently seeking highly qualified candidates, who are passionate about classical Christian education, to fill an opening for a K-5 primary school teacher for the 25-26 school year. Experience in the early primary grades is preferred. The responsibilities are:
- Serve as classroom teacher assigned to teach Primary School;
- Provide direct instruction to students in arithmetic, phonics, penmanship, Bible, social studies, science, and enrichment activities;
- Provide instruction using the classical method;
- Participate as a member of the professional staff involved in student engagement life on campus including being available to oversee and moderate student activities, participate in administrative responsibilities, and supervise students during recess and lunch periods as needed.
