Part-Time Kitchen Helper

Christian Chapel Academy (CCA) is a faith-based Elementary and Middle School and childcare facility. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Kitchen Helper to join our school kitchen team. The Kitchen Helper will assist with food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the overall kitchen operations to ensure a safe and efficient environment for students and staff. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has an interest in supporting school meal programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals under the guidance of the Head Chef.
• Wash, peel, and chop ingredients for meal preparation.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to meet food safety standards.
• Assist in plating food and food delivery to serving areas.
• Store food items properly and label for easy identification.
• Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
• Assist in receiving, checking, and storing food and kitchen supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef.

Qualifications:

• No prior experience required, though experience in food service or kitchen environments is a plus.
• Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow safety and hygiene standards.

Work Schedule:

• Some what flexible hours depending on school needs (typically Monday - Friday 8AM - 12PM).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
