Description
As the Director of business services at CHCC, you will ensure accurate and timely billing, invoicing and collections and participate as a member of the management team in a professional, well-respected skilled nursing center.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and work smoothly with residents, resident family members, resident responsible parties and co-workers.
- Ensure all accounts receivable are monitored and collected.
- Work with collections professionals to collect on delinquent accounts.
- Assist outside providers and contracted employees with all monthly and annual financial reports, accounting records and statements.
- Maintain good attendance as an essential requirement of this position.
- Supervise assigned staff, including selection, orientation, training, coaching, discipline (including termination) and timely performance reviews.
- Participate as a member of the management team, working cooperatively with all departments.
- Maintain confidentiality in all things related to CHCC and resident financial records.
- Participate in continuing education and community activities to maintain and strengthen current skills and expertise in assigned areas.
- Perform special projects or other duties as assigned by the executive director.
- Provide break relief for the receptionist as assigned and serve as vacation relief for the receptionist as needed.
- Agree to abide by all standards, policies and procedures of the facility, including the facility’s compliance and ethics program, as a condition of employment. Compliance will be a factor in evaluating job performance.

Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience performing accounting functions.
- Associate degree in accounting, finance or a related field preferred.
- Experience in long-term care/skilled nursing billing and collections preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- A combination of education and experience may qualify a candidate for this position.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to make public presentations as needed.
- Able to maintain high standards despite deadlines and pressures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and management skills, including problem-solving, decision making and coaching.
- Able to establish and maintain constructive relationships with residents and their family members/responsible party, other department managers, employees and the public.
- Knowledgeable and supportive of CHCC mission and philosophy.
- Proficient with various software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Work schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional days and times may be required.
