As a restorative nursing assistant at CHCC, you will follow each resident’s care plan and implement personalized restorative programs that support their highest level of mobility and independence in daily activities. Job functions:
- Provide a pleasant, positive and calm environment for residents.
- Communicate and work smoothly with residents, families, supervisors and co-workers.
- Encourage resident independence and rehabilitation when indicated.
- Perform tasks, within nursing assistant scope of practice, according to CHCC procedures.
- Keep resident rooms neat and tidy, including making beds.
- Follow directions, observe residents’ responses and report changes to the unit coordinator.
- Perform restorative care treatments.
- Encourage residents to perform or participate in daily ADL functions.
- Provide range of motion in accordance with the resident’s plan of care.
- Instruct and supervise residents during therapy.
- Assure that all restorative care notes are informative and descriptive of the treatment provided and of the resident’s response to care.
- Help transport wheelchair users to activities and meals.
- Correctly apply and monitor resident safety devices.
- Prevent the spread of infection, including frequent hand-washing and gloving.
- Assist in the support of company-sponsored events, activities and functions.
- Abide by all standards, policies and procedures of the facility, including the facility’s compliance and ethics program, as a condition of employment.
- Attend in-service training as requested and required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Support CHCC’s mission.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- A Washington state nursing assistant (CNA/NAC) license in good standing is required.
- One year of nursing assistant experience is preferred.
- One year of restorative nursing assistant experience is preferred.
Work schedule:
Forty hours per week. 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Work every other weekend and rotate through holidays, scheduled monthly in advance.
