Responsibilities
- Plan and lead exciting, meaningful activities that cater to residents' interests and needs.
- Collaborate with other departments to create a well-rounded, engaging program.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for A/L and SNF.
- Recognize and address the unique needs of residents to enhance their quality of life.
- Develop and maintain a fun, interactive monthly event calendar.
- Work with the volunteer coordinator to bring in valuable community involvement.
- Manage supplies, coordinate purchases, and ensure activities run smoothly.
- Conduct resident assessments to personalize programs and activities.
- Drive the bus for scenic rides and group outings (CDL preferred but not required).
- Support hiring, training, and supervision of assigned staff under the director's guidance.
Requirements
- Possession of a passion for enhancing residents' lives through meaningful engagement.
- 2 years of experience in creating and managing programs for seniors.
- Strong leadership skills – experience in team supervision and relationship building.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations for A/L and SNF is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred) to drive the resident bus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with basic technology.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Responsible for moderate physical effort including handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
- Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.
