Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and implement age-appropriate health and physical education curriculum for elementary and middle/high school students.
- Create and execute engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and educational goals.
- Instruct students on various physical activities, sports, and fitness exercises to enhance motor skills and overall physical well-being.
- Assess and evaluate students' physical abilities, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect.
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education and health into interdisciplinary units.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular activities, such as sports clubs, intramural sports, or fitness programs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed about current trends and best practices in physical education.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators regarding students' progress and program initiatives.
- Ensure the safety of students during physical education activities and implement emergency procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education or related field.
- State teaching certification or licensure in Health and Physical Education preferably.
- Prior teaching experience at the elementary and/or middle/high school level.
- Strong knowledge of child development, motor skills, and physical fitness.
- Enthusiasm for promoting healthy lifestyles and wellness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Familiarity with incorporating technology into health and physical education instruction.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Physical Requirements:
