What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respite provider part-time(childcare) position at Christian Servants Home Care?
Christian Servants Home Care is looking for reliable caregivers, to help serve people with intellectual, developmental and psychiatric disabilities within our community.
Schedule: Fridays 3p-6p, Saturday and Sunday 8:30a-3p, during school schedule. while on winter, spring and summer break hours would be 8a-3p M-F.
Job duties include: Providing assistance, companionship, and comfort to clients. Medication reminders, offering temporary relief for primary caregivers, assisting with or providing reminders for daily living tasks such as feeding, dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, and/or EXPERIENCE
- Additional education or training in human services, special education, or related fields preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with individuals, families, and team members.
- Reliable transportation is required; the ability to transport individuals or provide assistance with grocery pick up/community outings is a plus.
- Must complete a background check
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
