THIS ROLE IS A HYBRID POSITION REQUIRING FREQUENT ON-SITE WORK- MUST BE WITHIN COMMUTABLE DISTANCE

EPIC certification preferred; if not certified, must become EPIC certified within 3 weeks of completing the mandatory EPIC training sessions.

Must be available to travel for EPIC training the week of 3/31/2025. 

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered. High school diploma or GED required.  

• 3 - 5 years of experience working with Epic systems or laboratory information systems.  

• Knowledge of professional billing processes and revenue cycle management.  

• Epic Resolute Professional Billing Certification preferred for external candidates. (Internal candidates who meet qualifications and demonstrate proficiency will be supported in achieving certification)  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Configure and optimize the Epic Resolute Professional Billing module to support professional billing processes.  

• Collaborate with clinical, financial, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations.  

• Manage the end-to-end professional billing process, including charge capture, claim submission, payment posting, and follow-up on outstanding claims.  

• Analyze remittance advice to ensure accurate posting of payments and adjustments.  

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in billing and remittance processing.  

• Develop and maintain documentation for billing workflows, system configurations, and training materials.  

• Conduct training sessions for end-users, including billing staff and financial administrators, to ensure effective use of the Epic Resolute Professional Billing module.  

• Provide go-live support and troubleshooting assistance to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.  

• Offer ongoing support and maintenance for the Epic Resolute Professional Billing module post-implementation.  

• Create and execute test scripts to validate system functionality and ensure accurate configuration.  

• Assist in the development of reports and dashboards to monitor billing metrics and identify areas for improvement.  

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements and billing standards.  

• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
