The Opportunity
We are seeking a Full-Time Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) to join our team at Christiana Hospital's OR Radiology Department. This is a day shift position with a 4x10hr schedule, including 1-2 days of call per week and every 6th weekend call.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge and proficiency in the operation of radiographic equipment, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.
- Develop and identify radiographs, including proper identification of film, date, and time, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform clerical duties as necessary, such as receptionist and scheduling tasks, completing forms, and various filing duties.
- Assist in the training of radiology technology students, fostering growth and development within the department.
- Operate and perform QC on PACS, Computed Radiography, and/or Digital Radiography Systems, ensuring optimal performance and image quality.
- Effectively use and maintain a variety of equipment, including Seimans, Phillips, and Ziehm units, and burn patient CDs as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a staff technologist in a hospital setting.
- Completion of a two-year program in Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.
- Possession of an Associate's Degree in Radiology Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- RT Technologist experience preferred; ARRT Registered Technologist certification required.
- Delaware license and CPR certification also necessary.
