Community Relations & Engagement Specialist - Marketing & Public Relations

Christie Clininc's department of Marketing & Public Relations is seeking a full-time Community Relations & Engagement Specialist at our State Street House from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

The Community Relations & Engagement Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships between Christie Clinic and its surrounding community. This position focuses on promoting the clinic’s services/providers/locations, fostering community partnerships and improving public awareness through outreach programs, events, sponsorships and educational initiatives.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

The Marketing Department is responsible for managing, upholding and maintaining the brand image and reputation of Christie Clinic. The Marketing team works internally and externally to build and increase brand awareness which will lead to increased patient visits.

JOB DUTIES:

Prioritize all marketing communications/promotional materials related activities and deadlines including:

• Community Engagement and Outreach:
  • Develop and implement community outreach programs to promote clinic services.
  • Identify and build relationships with key community stakeholders, including local organizations, schools and businesses.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the clinic and the community groups to increase exposure to our providers, locations and services.
• Event Coordination:
  • Plan, organize and execute community events, health fairs and expos.
  • Plan and manage annual sponsorship budget including weighing requests to see if they meet our criteria for sponsoring
  • Represent the clinic at local events and activities to increase visibility.
• Public Relations Support:
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create press releases and promotional materials for community events.
  • Develop content for social media campaigns and the clinic’s website to highlight community engagement efforts.
• Team Member Engagement:
  • Active member of the team member engagement committee committed to idea generation and execution of engagement opportunities.
  • Assist with planning, executing and evaluating current and future team member engagement initiatives.
  • Spearhead team member appreciation days (based on department/job title) for awareness and celebration.
• Additional duties as assigned
• May require work after hours and on weekends.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/PRE-REQUISITIES:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Journalism or related field) OR 5-7 years of healthcare experience and 3-5 years of marketing experience

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 25 pounds.  Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in an office environment and involves frequent contact with all levels of staff and the public. Requirements include the ability to drive a motor vehicle and to work or be accessible at irregular hours (i.e., outside normal M-F 8-5 schedule).

PAY AND BENEFITS:

The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.
