Why this role matters
The Copywriter is responsible for writing copy for multi-channel marketing communications and campaigns that support Christie’s auctions worldwide.
How you will make an impact
Write or edit copy with an accessible authority that reflects Christie’s brand voice and adheres to house style
Ideate for integrated marketing campaigns across channels, including email, digital and print advertising, events, direct mail, website, proposals, exhibition and social media
Brainstorm taglines, auction/collection titles, treatments and video scripts
Craft key messaging for campaigns and internal presentations
Daily communications and tracking timelines on Monday.com
Ensure that creative concepts and copy align with agreed campaign objectives and strategy
Ensure that format and diction are appropriate for the platform in which it appears
Receive and implement feedback from manager and specialist departments
Collaborate with designers and video producers to create a complete product that conveys a clear message or tells an engaging story
Participate in presentations when necessary
Liaise with key internal business contacts including marketing managers, editorial team and specialists
Research, when necessary, using a culmination of literary sources, internet research, specialist knowledge, interviews, etc. and distill information into copy which is relevant, engaging and has a clear call to action
Serve as a proofreader throughout a project’s evolution to ensure factual and grammatical accuracy and formatting consistency
Remain up to date on wider art market news, trends, voices, etc. outside of Christie’s
All other tasks as assigned by manager
What you will bring to the team
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Art History or related field
Relevant experience in the art and/or luxury market, creative agency, publishing, communications or related field
Excellent research and writing skills, including exceptional grammar and attention to detail
Enthusiastic about art and the art market
A willingness to learn about and adopt Christie’s brand strategy and objectives
A knack for finding new and varied communication approaches to inspire clients about art, luxury and collectibles
Strong communication skills, with an openness to take direction and pivot as needed
Strong administrative skills, with an ability to juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines
Business judgment
Self-motivated and a natural collaborator
Excellent general IT skills
Additional Information
This temporary position has a baseline schedule of 40 hours a week, 5 days a week, with both in-office and remote hybrid flexibility

Compensation Range
Salary : $25 - $28
