Position Description : Director of HR

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Director of Human Resources is a key member of the Leadership Team (LT). The position is responsible for leading high-impact, people-focused strategic initiatives that drive alignment with the organization's values and vision, including a commitment to social justice, and diversity, equity and inclusion.The Director of Human Resources will lead the human resource team and coordinate with LT in all aspects of human capital and recruiting functions, including on-boarding and off-boarding talent, training and development, leadership and succession planning, performance management, employee compensation, benefits, employment law, compliance, employee relations and culture.RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and support Human Resources Team / Associate Director(s) responsible for recruitment, retention, talent management, career latticing strategies, people operations and benefits administration to meet annual performance goals and budget objectives. Work with team to implement programs to support employee well-being, including mental health initiatives and wellness programs.Maximize usage of HRIS platforms, to support efficiency, data management, and compliance reportingLead strategy and compliance efforts around contracts with government funders, labor relations, and legislation.Ensure HR policies, practices and procedures are first-rate, create a collaborative and affirming culture, align with current labor laws, contractual requirements, and collective bargaining agreement. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, recommending adjustments to policies and practices as needed.Work in collaboration with Senior Leadership team to create a strong culture of learning, growth and belonging throughout Christopher House.Lead and model employee relations and conflict resolution in alignment with Christopher House's core values and beliefs. Serve as a trusted advisor to HR team, employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Handle employee relations matters effectively and confidentially, fostering a culture of trust and respect.Administer competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs. Negotiate benefits contracts, oversee 403b administration with third party administrators, and serve as pension officer.Develop and administer competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs. Ensure alignment between performance, recognition, and rewards to motivate and retain top talent.Lead data-informed efforts to ensure CH is a leader in talent acquisition, including hiring, retaining, and promoting diverse candidates and leaders. Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.Proactively develop employee communications, to support employee success, education, and drive strategic prioritiesWork with HR, leadership, and management teams to define employee development needs systematic talent and development plans that support programs to meet the organization's strategic goals and objectives. Lead professional development initiative to assess and develop critical talent in alignment with employee development needs, career development and organizational succession planning.QUALIFICATIONS :
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to CH's mission and values; a proactive, hands-on, strategic thinker.Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of the organization.Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into HR initiatives and deliver results.Passionate about fostering a diverse, inclusive, and supportive work environment.Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR programs and initiatives that drive organizational culture and employee engagement.At least 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, engaging peers and managing team members to deliver on strategic and performance outcomes. 1-3 years of leadership experienceExperience with collective bargaining preferred.EDUCATION :
