What are the responsibilities and job description for the IDP Instructor position at Christopher’s Reason?
The Resource Training Center Inc. D / B / A Christopher's Reason is an OASAS certified and NYS Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), IDP training provider. We are seeking a full-time Bilingual (Spanish) IDP / ADD Instructor to join our team. This is a contracted position based in Queens, NY.
The instructor will be responsible for but not limited to teaching the IDP 16-hour Prime for Life curriculum required by the State of New York for DWI / DUI offenders. The instructor will also be responsible for but not limited to teaching the participants the National Safety Council-approved Attitudes and Dynamics of Driving course on identifying driving behaviors and becoming reacquainted with the basic rules, regulations & responsibilities as a driver.

Responsibilities :
- Instruct and educate individuals on the Impaired Driver Program (IDP) curriculum.
- Instruct and educate individuals on the Attitudes and Dynamics (ADD) curriculum.
- Deliver engaging and informative lessons to program participants.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress to ensure all hours are accounted for.
- Ensure compliance with New York State DMV regulations.
- Provide instruction in both English and Spanish to accommodate diverse learners.
- Help participants find treatment and counseling.
