Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our architectural firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate accounting practices and the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
Responsibilities This position involves focusing on the accounts payable aspect of the office, including.
1. Invoice Management
2. Payment Processing
3. Expense Coding and Allocation
4. Vendor Relations
5. Reconciliation accounts payable balancers with vendor statements.
6. Data entry and record maintenance.
7. Preparing and reviewing accounts payable aging reports.
8. Expense reimbursements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) in all financial reporting.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or a similar role in an architectural office is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of account analysis, general ledger reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Familiarity with GAAP principles and governmental accounting practices is a requirement.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
- Must have a minimum of five years’ experience and strong references.
