Position Summary
This position requires the capability of achieving very high standards of quality, productivity, and safety.
Position Details
- Always be thinking of continued improvement. Work to create ideas no matter how big or small (preferably small) to make work safer, smarter, easier, and more efficient.
- Unloading of finished products from kiln cars.
- Ensure the unloaded products are packaged correctly, safely and look professional.
- Quality control testing of products generated on their shift.
- Including, Crush, Drop, Sizing and Water Absorption.
- Recording results and quarantine any product found to be out of specification.
- Work on the line cleaning, repairing, and maintaining kiln cars.
- Maintain a safe, clean work area.
- Perform other duties as required or instructed by the shift supervisor .
Education & Experience :
- High School Diploma, or equivalent GED, etc.
- Basic math skills and possess the ability to learn to use and interpret measuring devices such as but not limited to calipers, steel rule and tape measure.
- Experience operating a forklift, if not being willing to learn become certified.
- Experience using Quality Control (QC) testing apparatuses.
- Working alone as well as in a team environment.
- Must be able to lift weight more than fifty pounds.
