ABOUT ChromaLearn : Founded in 2023, ChromaLearn is dedicated to empowering underprivileged youth through quality education, fostering growth through guidance and mentorship, and providing exposure to invaluable knowledge and opportunities—all while ensuring everything remains free and accessible. In our first year, we have laid a strong foundation by assembling a team of passionate professionals alongside high school and college students, creating a unique dynamic for making a meaningful impact. We initiated a free online 1-on-1 tutoring with successful high school student tutors. Although we mainly focus on the students in the United States, we have tutored students in other countries as well. Currently, we are developing a blog feature designed to share meaningful lessons and to serve as a database for valuable opportunities that everyone can access. We aim to expand our services and launch helpful programs to change the lives of our future generations.
Duties & Projects : The Chief Technology Officer would oversee the current and ongoing projects / tasks -
- Develop and oversee ChromaLearn’s technology strategy to align with organizational goals.
- Advise the CEO and board on technological opportunities and risks.
- Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of ChromaLearn’s digital platforms and tools, including the website.
- Ensure all technological systems are functional, secure, and optimized for performance.
- Lead and mentor a small tech team of 3-4 volunteers working on technology-related projects.
- Facilitate informal collaboration sessions to enhance skill development and team bonding.
- Drive innovation by implementing new tools and automating processes to improve efficiency.
- Regularly assess organizational processes to identify areas for technological enhancement.
- Ensure all technology systems comply with best practices in cybersecurity and data protection.
- Protect sensitive data, including volunteer and user information, from breaches or misuse.
- Provide regular updates on technology initiatives, challenges, and successes to the CEO and board.
- Collaborate with the CEO to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to technology initiatives.
- Track and analyze KPI data to inform improvements.
- Ensure all technological practices adhere to legal, regulatory, and organizational compliance standards.
- Assist in preparing required documentation for audits and filings.
NOTE : This staff member will also (temporarily) act as Lead Sr. Web Developer in the absence and / or in the organization’s time of need.
