Job Summary:
The Finance Manager provides analytical decision support and performance analysis for Chromalloy Phoenix using Quantum and Microsoft Office products. This includes accurately forecasting and reporting business results on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis, as well as providing variance analysis between actual and forecasted results. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for building forecasting models and creating reports to manage and analyze the performance of our always-evolving business.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage all accounting and financial activities: This includes a wide range of tasks, such as cost accounting, AP, AR, Capex, Inventory, audit support, tax support, and risk management.
Lead the site month-end close: This involves ensuring that all financial transactions are processed and recorded accurately, and that the balance sheet is reconciled.
Provide financial deliverables to the corporate office: This includes reports such as the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, monthly estimates, cash flow estimate, and variance analysis.
Lead financial planning and forecasting: Prepare the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly estimate.
Manage cash flow: Prepare the site for 13 weeks cash flow.
Collaborate with regional finance director: Work closely with the regional finance director to achieve regional and company targets.
Ensure financial accuracy and compliance: Implement, document, and maintain accounting processes and internal controls; comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Provide valuable financial insights: Work with site partners to provide value-added analysis and decision support; prepare and review weekly/monthly reports to identify drivers of variances and provide insightful explanations; participate in company-wide performance excellence projects.
Manage and develop the finance team: Provide directions to the finance team regarding procedures and systems; supervise, hire, train, coach, develop, and retain site finance personnel.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Economics (MBA preferred) along with at least 7 years of related experience in a finance management role and 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated financial analysis and modeling expertise, strong understanding & experience of cost accounting, and CMA, CPA is preferred
Experience working with and extracting data from ERP systems, and experience with SQL and consolidation software is a plus. Consolidation software experience with Hyperion, HFM, and Hyperion Planning preferred.
Extensive computer experience using MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and other MS Office products. Experience working with and extracting data from ERP systems.
