What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environment, Health and Safety Manager/Engr position at ChromaScape?
This position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining EHS programs that promote a safe and sustainable workplace. The EHS Engineer will conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with government regulations from agencies like OSHA, EPA and DHS
- Develop and enforce safety procedures, train employees and conduct compliance audits
- Write environmental procedures, train employees and conduct compliance audits
- Provide technical support to Plant Management on Environmental Health & Safety issues
- Participate in monitoring critical process variables and equipment concerns that impact safety
- Lead incident investigations and provide case management for work-related medical incidents
- Build relationships with external agencies and serve as the owner of hazardous and non-hazardous waste management
- Track and report environmental performance metrics
- Maintain data for the OSHA 300 log and delegate safety inspections to production shifts
- Manage Chemical Hazard Information and PHA program compliance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Certifications: HAZWOPER, DOT, Industrial Hygiene, PHA Leadership (existing or achieved within 18 months)
- 2-3 years' experience in Chemical Manufacturing (preferred)

- Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications
