Chronicle Books seeks an experienced, growth orientated National Account Manager to join our Sales team. This role is responsible for selling Chronicle and distribution client books, gifts, toys, and games to Amazon.com. The ideal candidate brings a collaborative, analytical, and creative approach to account management.
Key Responsibilities: The person in this role will develop strategies to create profitable growth, ensure product detail pages, monitor inventory and keep Amazon in stock on full catalog, monitor pre-orders and product performance, provide product sales estimates, and forecast top-line sales monthly and annually. They will update and maintain sales-focused reporting, communicate the state of business with key stakeholders, devise effective Amazon Marketing Services advertising campaigns, and present products & review business with Amazon Editors. They will also actively monitor and identify new Amazon program opportunities, work across Amazon categories, target ideal assignments for all products, and identify and implement improvements for external contractors and internal systems. This role includes providing feedback to management on product success/challenges, building relationships with Distribution Clients, attending weekly/bi-weekly meetings with Sales & Marketing, and liaising with internal Amazon.ca and Amazon.co.uk teams to share best practices.
Hiring Salary Range: Manager level - $68k - $78.2k. Sr. Manager level - $78k – 89.7k. These ranges represent the anticipated low and high end of the expected salaries for these positions and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, an applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The National Account Manager is eligible for a sales incentive bonus and profit sharing.

Requirements
Applicants will need a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales. Amazon experience is preferred, as is experience in book publishing, gifts, toys, or games. A proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, strong communication skills, including the ability to convey the meaning behind metrics, and an ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally are required. Proficiency in Excel and the ability to analyze large batches of data is also needed. Salesforce experience is a plus.

Salary : $68,000 - $78,200
