Chrysalis is a company that provides a variety of support services for people with intellectual disabilities. This position focuses on overseeing services and other operations in the Utah County Program. This includes providing applied behavior analysis services to individuals with autism and/or other intellectual disabilities; supervising services provided by other Chrysalis Senior Behavior Analyst (if applicable), Behavior Analysts, assistant behavior analysts, interns, behavior technicians or other designated employees; and overseeing operations of the Host Home program, including training, financial viability of the program, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders (e.g., clients, families, employees, payers). This position requires the ability to prioritize work, communicate effectively, and complete assigned responsibilities accurately and within the allotted time frames (e.g., training, reporting).


AUTHORITY
The Clinical Director assists the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) and is directly responsible for treatment plans, client records, and clinical treatment for people supported by Chrysalis, as well as supervision and oversight of Senior Behavior Analyst (if applicable), BCBAs, BCaBAs, Behavior Assistants, behavior technicians, and other employees, as designated.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regular, timely and consistent attendance
  • Adhere to the Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for BCBAs as outlined by the BACB.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and develop treatment plans and protocols for each person assigned to caseload.
  • Attend staff meetings, as needed, to train on programs or continue assessments.
  • Write progress notes, to include evaluation of data, graphing of data, and evaluation of current program.
  • Supervise the development and implementation of programs written by supervisees, including assisting in development of plans as needed.
  • Compile, get authorization for, and present all programs with restrictive behavior interventions to Human Rights Committee (HRC) and to the Peer Review Committee.
  • Ensure recommendations made by HRC and/or Peer Review are completed.
  • Meet regularly with treatment team members to coordinate services and provide staff training.
  • Attend intake and other team meetings.
  • Complete and maintain CEU requirements for supervision as outlined by the BACB.
  • Provide supervision as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and complete necessary documentation.
  • Train (instruct, model and give feedback) new Behavior Analysts, supervisees and Behavior Technicians (as needed) on job responsibilities, including contract requirements, state rules related to behavior supports and staff training.
  • Consult on cases, as needed, which could include attending team meetings.
  • Review new supervisees’ programs and supporting documents. Sign-off on plans as needed.
  • Provide timely feedback.
  • Complete quarterly performance evaluation for all supervisees (including those in training). Review includes quality checks and contract compliance.
  • Provide summary of Performance Evaluation to CCO.
  • Ensure client’s clinical needs are met when a supervisee uses PTO and/or FMLA.
  • Ensure Senior Behavior Analysts, BCBAs, BCaBAs, RBTs, and Behavior Technicians adhere to the Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts as outlined by the BACB.
  • Provide and ensure supervisees provide required supervision of RBTs and Behavior Technicians, including completing tracking forms and any other documentation required by the credentialing body (e.g., BACB).
  • Ensure supervisees’ training (SOAR, CPR, First Aid, OSHA) is completed within established time frames.
  • Ensure supervisees maintain BCBA certification and state licensure (as applicable).
  • Ensure supervisees’ training (SOAR, CPR, First Aid, OSHA) is completed within established time frames.
  • Other duties as assigned by CCO, COO and/or CEO.
  • Serve as an official representative of Chrysalis and market a positive image.
  • Follow state policies and procedures.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of least 18 years old
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Pass a drug test
  • Possess the ability to speak, read and write effectively in English
  • Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and valid vehicle insurance


Experience or Education:

  • A Master’s Degree or PhD in behavior analysis or a related field
  • Certified as a BCBA or BCBA-D
  • Licensed as a Behavior Analyst in the State (as applicable).
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills, ability to prioritize work, and able to complete all assigned program responsibilities accurately and within the allotted time frames.
  • Have good public relations skills in working with a variety of outside professionals and stake holders.
  • Able to effectively train employees on behavior interventions.
  • Provide supervision and oversight of Senior Behavior Analyst, BCBAs, BCaBAs, Behavior Technicians, and other employees, as designated.
  • Training and Certifications
  • Maintain Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Maintain Licensed Behavior Analyst from the State Office of Licensing

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to an indoor environment where the temperature is usually moderate and the noise level is minimal. The employee may be exposed to various environments including, but not limited to the following: aggressive individuals, may come in contact with blood and/or saliva, and other OPIM.
