Service Writer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive industry, particularly in service writing and vehicle maintenance. This position is crucial in ensuring smooth communication between customers and the service department. CDK experience is a must.

Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers to understand their vehicle issues and service needs
- Create accurate and detailed repair orders based on customer descriptions and technician diagnostics
- Schedule service appointments and follow up with customers on the status of their vehicles
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Provide cost estimates to customers and obtain necessary approvals before work begins
- Maintain organized records of all service orders and customer interactions

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive repair setting is preferred
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, and automotive alignment procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with service writing processes and auto service management
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and service technicians
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
