A person in this role will help the individual they work with by assisting them and giving them the tools they need to live an independent and purposeful life and to be involved as an integral part of their community.
What We Offer...
The Instructional Assistant is a part-time position who has flexibility to make their own hours depending on the needs of the individual they serve. Hours for this position are typically sometime between 8am and 4pm on weekdays. Service is usually not offered on weekends, evenings, or holidays.

The Instructional Assistant will...
- Provide one of several different services depending on individual clients needs including:
1) In Home and Community Supports - supporting individuals within the home and community setting providing assistance with educational needs
2) Behavioral Support Services - helping individuals meeting their behavioral goals in order for them to lead a more fulfilling life.
Additionally providers will:
· Provide services which align with the goals in the Individual Service Plan
· Display respect and compassion toward the individuals they assist
. Provide supports to the individual in the home and community settings which may include daily living tasks.
. Plan activities with and for the individual across settings (home and school)
· Maintain consistent, regular contact as a team member with the family and other professionals involved with the individual
. Completion of agency paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
Requirements..
Minimum of two years of college required (Do not have to have a degree, just proof of at least 60 college credits taken and received)
-Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass background checks (this includes PA State Police Check, Child Abuse Clearance and Fingerprint clearance) HAVING CURRENT BACKGROUND CHECK LESS THAN 1 YEAR OLD PREFERRED
- Experience working or volunteering with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required......passion for helping others is!
