What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Specialist position at CHS GROUP LLC?
CHS is seeking a reliable, organized Employee Specialist to provide job related services to people with special needs. The responsibilities for this position include:
- Completing vocational assessments to understand an individual's strengths, interests and areas that require further training.
- Assisting clients with their job search including completing applications, preparing for interviews and meeting pre-employment requirements.
- Providing on the job training to consumers so that they understand their job duties and other expectations.
- Facilitating the development of natural supports, job modifications and accommodations and maintaining regular contact with the consumer, employers and other stakeholders.
- Completing accurate progress notes based on the individual Plan of Service.
- Submitting accurate billing in accordance with the procedures and policies of South Carolina Department of Special Needs.
- Ensuring an environment free of abuse and neglect with respect for individuality and dignity.
- Participating in regular training to ensure compliance with funder and corporate expectations.
- Travelling between our programs in Greenville and Columbia.
Applicants should have strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, a genuine desire to assist people with special needs and experience in the field.
An Associate's degree is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
