The Child Development Assistant is responsible for supporting the Lead Teacher and Associate Teacher in implementing the daily program for children. This role involves participating in classroom coaching cycles, engaging with children to support development and learning, and supervising a safe and nurturing environment for children. The successful candidate will be expected to provide high-quality care and education to children, while also maintaining open communication with families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Lead Teacher and Associate Teacher in planning and delivering educational programs
- Participating in regular team meetings to discuss program developments and challenges
- Engaging with children to promote their social, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development
- Communicating effectively with families and other stakeholders
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, CDA Accreditation preferred; 1 year experience working with children from birth - 5 years; Level A or B certification in the PA ECE Career Pathway preferred.
